After 30 years working as Chef in France, meeting producers, winemakers and people passionate about food, Francois Morabito moved with his family to Perth six years ago.
The Australian’s love for good food and wine as well French landscape and culture become as an evidence for him to create authentic and intimate guided gourmet tour experience in France.
It was around 7 when Francois started his first cooking “experience” following accurately the pastries books recipes.

At 15 and a few months, he started in a hospitality school close to his birth city in Alsace region. After two diplomas he had the rare opportunity to start the most prestigious Chef School, l’Ecole Superieure de Cuisine Francaise in Paris and was graduated top of the class.
After working several years in Michelin star restaurant, Francois and Esther his wife and him launched in 1997 their first own restaurant in Strasbourg. A few years after they had the opportunity to launch a catering and a second restaurant that they ran until early 2013.
Never in rest for a new challenge, they moved in July 2013 with their daughter Elena to Adelaide and then Perth.
Francois is well known in Western Australia for his prowess in the kitchen, having been the Head Chef at Alain Fabregues Bistro Des Artistes, opening Stix Bar and Restaurant in 2015 and then the Head Chef at the Weld Club, sharing his Michelin star chef French experience.
However, it was the love of Francois’ home country that was calling and, as a result, My French Voyage was created to share his love of France with Australian and International travelers.
Early in 2018 they launched their boutique travel company specialising in regional guided gastronomy tours to France, something unique in the marketplace and each tour was created from his and Esther’s personal experiences in each region.

Guests on Francois’s guided tours will not only get to experience some of the country’s best restaurants, wineries, markets, stay in boutique luxury accommodation and be part of unique tours, but will also experience Francois cooking for them each evening. They want their guests to experience France like a local and truly enjoy the best of the regions.
