7 Days & 7 Nights All Inclusive Alsace Tour
7 Days & 7 Nights All Inclusive Alsace Tour
If you have already visited Paris or the Provence regions and you are looking for something different, Alsace is made for you.
On our 7-day all-inclusive food & wine tour of Alsace of this stunning region, you will visit towns brimming with culture and heritage and admire the breathtaking natural landscapes with their vineyards, plains and peaks.
Alsace also happens to be our home town, which in turn has a very special place in our hearts. It is sometimes gourmet, sometimes festive, sometimes cultural, sometimes natural - but always surprising and sparkling.
This region is the French top three food lover’s destinations. Famed for its gastronomy, Alsace features a large number of Michelin-starred restaurants enhancing Alsatian gastronomy and competing in creativity
“Words cannot describe the wonderful experience we have had in Alsace with you as our guide. We appreciate all that you have shared with us. The sights have been extraordinary, the best food and comfortable transportation, next year we will select another tour with My French Voyage” Michelle and John,2019 Perth AU
“Thank you, Francois, for hosting an amazing vacation experience for me and Rachel.
I can’t wait for my next Voyage; I’m hoping to get a few friends to join us next time. In the meantime, I have to say that I can’t recommend your service highly enough. Anyone who has a love for food, wine, culture, history, architecture and a wonderful adventure would have a wonderful time on one of your Voyages”. Ben and Rachel, 2019 Washington US
Our 7-day all-inclusive Alsatian food tour, will ensure you experience the best of Alsace. During the week, we will share with you our best kept secret spots when it comes to food and wine and highlights include:
Touring the local markets and meeting some of the region’s best artisans.
Tasting the star of the Alsatian cheese platter - the Munster - and meeting its makers!
Tasting the local eaux de vie, colourless fruit brandies and marc, made from prestigious regional varietals distilled in copper alembic stills.
Meeting some of our best friends, who happen to be wine-makers and touring their vineyards during the harvest season.
Visiting a microbrewerie, and learning about beer production, including sampling the much-loved local tipple with a freshly baked pretzel.
Enjoying lunch in the Ferme Auberge, which prepares 100% of their dishes with local, homemade produce – including spaetzle (rustic noodles made from flour, milk and eggs), Alsatian meat pie and fantastic traditional desserts.
Trying a Winstub. A Winstub is a wine bistro like no other, with a friendly and warm atmosphere, it is one of the most atypical examples of French gastronomy. You will be able to enjoy beautiful simple French food such as bibeleskaes, the baeckeoffe (a meat and potato dish slow-cooked in a ceramic casserole), Flammekueche (a thin circle of dough topped with fromage blanc or crème fraiche, thinly sliced onions and lardons), sauerkraut and of course the famous Kougelhopf – all whilst eating shoulder to shoulder on wooden tables covered with red checked tablecloths.
Francois will also cook dinner for you and with you (for those who want) each night, using local recipes with seasonal products picked up daily at local markets. The menu will vary from night to night based on what you and the other 7 guests would like – we love your special requests!
Come to Alsace for the beautiful open air and the most poetic landscapes. During your week with us you will visit the Alsace Wine Route, snaking through valleys and along hillsides, with villages full of flowers and the smiles of the friendly local people.
Those passionate about culture and historic heritage, who thrive on a fast pace and the lovers of beautiful stone houses will find themselves at home in Alsace. Strasbourg is without a doubt one of Europe’s most beautiful cities to visit. Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Strasbourg is well known for its Cathedral built during the 10th to 15th centuries, featuring unique pink sandstone "lacework". For the most courageous of you, you can climb the 332 stairs to reach the top of the Cathedral and observe the stunning view. We will also show you the unmissable sites such as the romantic Petite France district with its canals and half-timbered buildings.
You will experience Colmar, the Alsatian Wine Capital, and its unique art of living! With its, canals, flowers, Colmar is a beauty and a pleasure to explore. The ‘Petite Venise’ district is of course not to be missed.
The Écomusée d’Alsace open-air is the largest living museum in France with over 70 buildings from all over Alsace. It illustrates what rural life was like in Alsace and invites you to find out about popular traditions and the extraordinary heritage of the region. It is a unique place for remembering the past, for thinking about the present and for inventing the future.
